» Musclemag.com: Please tell us a bit about yourself.
» Chelsea: I'm 30 years old, and recently moved from Seattle, WA to Phoenix, AZ in March of 2000. I'm originally from the Northwest so I love to ski, but I am enjoying the desert life right now. I hike, rollerblade, and like to go, go, go! I love baseball, hockey, and track and field events. I am a terrible cook, so thank goodness for things like boyfriends that can cook! I have been working for the same software company for the past 4 years as a Software Analyst. I am 5'9, 140 pounds, 36/26/36

» Musclemag.com: What made you decide to start your transformation?
» Chelsea: When I lived in Seattle, I was always bundled up! I wore sweatshirts and baggy jeans. It hid everything! Living down here in Phoenix, my wardrobe is shorts and tank tops. I am one of the types of people that would rather look good than live with an unfit body when I have to wear revealing clothing to keep cool. I was tired of feeling fat, and I really wanted to develop a lean and muscular body. Everyone down here is in great shape and I wanted to look good too. Life is too short to not be the best you can be. At 30, I felt like I needed to kick myself into shape so that I could have the body I really wanted.
» Musclemag.com: How many times did you quit and start your diet if at all or did you stick right to your plan?
» Chelsea: For about 5 years, I started oodles of diets on Mondays. I'd lose the same 5 pounds and gain back 7! It wasn't until I decided I needed some help from someone that knew what they were doing if I was really going to do this. I worked with a personal trainer, got a great diet that worked, and then added supplements. My problem was that I thought: "a calorie is a calorie, and my body will burn it the same way no matter if it is a protein, carbo, or fat." Oh, so wrong!
» Musclemag.com: Who was your biggest cheerleader or support member during your transformation? » Chelsea: My Boyfriend! He has been incredibly supportive. I stressed the importance of my eating plan when I started, and we went to the grocery store to buy my food. He followed the diet with me and lost 10 pounds right away. He encourages me on a daily basis to continue my lifestyle and he does the same for himself. He's my biggest cheerleader! I've know him since I was 15, so he has seen me in great shape and knew I could get it back!
» Musclemag.com: What is / was the best part of the experience of your transformation?
» Chelsea: Four things! 1. Learning how to eat 2. Wearing a size 4, and having a positive self image. 3. My gym currently uses me as one of their fitness models for their ad promotions. 4. Being an inspiration to others. I have friends and family asking me for help. Who would have thought! |

» Musclemag.com: What product from FitSavers.com would you recommend to others?Chelsea: These are the products I used and got results from: If you need a fat burner, either Hydroxycut or VPX Clenbutrx . If you have trouble spots, I recommend:
Cutting Gel . Make sure if you use cutting gel that you have your diet in check and your workouts in check. This isn't a miracle product, but it made a difference for me!
» Musclemag.com: What does keeping a daily journal on Musclemag.com do for you positively or negatively?
» Chelsea: It has been very positive with everyone's support. I've also been able to review what everyone else is doing to reach their goals. It's very inspirational! I get to see that I am not the only one with struggles! It was also fun for me to be accountable to other readers beside myself. I now understand that my body metabolizes proteins, carbohydrates, and fats differently. Reading the posts on www.musclemag.com has been addicting!
» Musclemag.com: What would you say to others that are starting a new diet or transformation and what motivational message do you have if any?
» Chelsea:This is BIG: You have to be ready to do this. You have to make a commitment to do it. You can't go into it half hearted. It needs to be a decision that you are doing for yourself and your lifestyle. Social situations can be a challenge at first, but once your friends and family see your commitment to a better lifestyle for yourself, they may ease up and become supportive. If not, just remember that you are your own boss and you need to take care of yourself!
» Musclemag.com: What additional goals or aspirations do you have now that your in such awesome shape?
» Chelsea: I plan to get my body fat down to 16% by mid October. Keep checking chelseacreates.com! This fall, I am going to participate in my gym's outdoor boot camp sessions, and continue with boxing and resistance training. I am looking into participating in the Galaxy Competition for 2003, or a figure competition. I need to find someone who knows the ropes and can help me out in this department. I am sure the Pros at Musclemag.com will know!
